“Lost over 21 kg’s”

 

I had been aware of the K2Fit Challenge as quite a few friends had taken part in previous challenges, the results that I had seen just within Zhuhai were impressive. My diet of junk food and minimal exercise had taken its toll on my body over the years. I needed to lose weight, get fitter and feel better. I needed Kara & the K2fit Challenge.

 

Going in to the challenge, my biggest concern was what was I going to eat for the next 10 weeks. Fortunately, between the recipes given as part of the challenge and suggestions made from members of my team, the food was one of the most enjoyable aspects. It turns out that healthy food can also be incredibly tasty too!

 

My K2 Team was invaluable to me. Both old and new friends going out of their way to help and encourage each other 24/7 was priceless – especially because I knew nothing about the ‘gym’ and ‘healthy food’ beforehand! Having a community that provided support, encouragement, advice, events, fun, laughter & shared experiences gave me accountability. I didn’t want to let myself down, but more importantly I couldn’t let my friends and team mates down either.
I committed myself fully to a solid gym routine and I was very strict with the food I ate. It was difficult and often very painful. But the weight just fell off me, which just gave me more confidence and motivation to continue – now I enjoy the difficulty and the pain!

 

Thanks to this challenge I have been able to turn my life around. I am over the moon with the transformation that my body and mind has made. It turns out that living a healthier lifestyle doesn’t need to be boring and restrictive and I have embraced the changes that I have adopted – most of which will continue to be a part of my daily routine.
