"Now I can do 5 full chin ups!”


When I signed up for this challenge, I thought I’d have a gym to go to, so my goal was just to get as fit as I can, but because of the lockdown I had to switch to home workouts. I wanted to prove to myself that you can get just as fit and strong without a gym. I didn’t have any equipment for the first month of the challenge, was just using water bottles and rocks as dumbbells, it was really frustrating and hard having to modify EVERY single exercise I was used to before. Eventually I got resistance bands, yoga loops, jump rope and finally dumbbells for the last 3 weeks of the challenge. I had no idea how my body would change with a healthy diet and exercise, so I just kept going as hard as I could, no excuses.


During the challenge, I was also juggling studies, work, and dealing with all sorts of personal problems. I am indeed very lucky to have such a cooperative body, but I definitely wouldn’t be able to do as good if not for continuous support, motivation and mentorship. I am the fittest and strongest I have ever been in my whole life. I am very happy that I didn’t have to starve myself, not one single day I was hungry. I doubled the lifting weight, advanced on my handstand hold, learned to do some cool jump rope tricks and yoga moves. Lost over 6kgs, and shredded 31 centimetres off my body, I look amazing and feel great. I enjoyed my journey throughout.”
